About us

We are a family  company - one of the largest greenhouse complexes in Latvia (1.5ha greenhouse area), where ~20 people are employed all year round, while during the active season this number can increase to 40.

History:

In 2001, the first greenhouse was built in the countryside of Kaive, in the middle of a meadow, and the cultivation of rose seedlings and cut roses was started. The company developed into the largest rose breeder in the Baltic states, growing roses according to the highest quality standards.

Due to energy-intensity of the cultivation of cut roses in our region, in 2018 our company gradually terminated all areas of cut roses and reconstruction was carried out and the cultivation of cucumbers and both early and late strawberries was started, sentimentally leaving only a small part of the area for the cultivation of rose seedlings, which historically was our speciality.

In 2024, reconstruction was carried out again in order to expand not only the production of cucumbers, but also to significantly increase the amount of rose plants. Furthermore we have become an official agency and distributor (the only one in the Baltic states) of one of the world's leading breeder W. Kordes' Söhne.

Roses:

We take great pride in he rose plants we offer, which already have an excellent reputation in the Baltic countries. We offer large volumes for each variety of roses, and we are also one of the rare breeders in the Baltics who propagate rose seedlings legally - with paid purchase and propagation licenses. This is very important not only for the breeder and the propagator, but also for the distributor, who can sell these seedlings without risk of receiving a fine. Moreover, it is a safe choice for the end customer, who thus receives the assurance of obtaining the original rose breed. In 2024, we started a significant expansion of the rose plant sector and increased the range of variety by more than 100 of the latest breeds, obtaining them directly from their breeders.

We have several categories of rose plants, from which we have specifically separated two of our customers' favorites - scent and bee roses.

Rose seedlings are available in 2 sizes: 2L containers and 7L containers.

They are available for purchase from April till October, but orders can be made all year round. Special orders for the following year should be made by December.

Cucumbers:

We produce 2 types of cucumbers: mini cucumbers in 0.5 kg packaging, as well as the short field cucumbers without packaging. We are particularly proud of the fact that we have developed modern production technology in the company, which provides the most favorable growing conditions for plants, furthermore we fight pests with biological methods (entomophages), which allows us to reduce the use of chemical plant protection agents to an absolute minimum. It is important for us that our work is in line with our family's philosophy of healthy lifestyle and nutrition, receiving satisfaction from being able to offer such products to our society.

That's why every year we develop and invest in more and more recent technologies that make the production process more resource efficient, promoting not only energy efficiency and the generation of renewable energy, but also behaving responsibly towards all of the resources available to us in order to make our contribution to development of both Latvia and the Baltic region as a whole.
