Why is it so important that rose plants have such license labels? 


It is illegal to propagate patented varieties without the specific permission of the patent holder - even not for personal use, and it is the responsibility of every rose grower and trader to ensure that legally propagated roses are produced. License labels are proof that the grower and seller are operating legally. 


Why is this important for the customer? 


This is primarily a sign of the grower and seller's ethics. The existence of licenses is a tangible proof to the buyer that the particular grower and seller is working honestly, respectfully and cooperating with the breeder (breeder)


This confirms the authenticity of the variety!!!

Unfortunately, very few rose growers in the Baltic States cooperate with breeders. Many varieties are illegally obtained, often without even knowing their origin, later named after some famous, similar rose, which can further cause the customer enormous disappointment and confusion as to why the description of the purchased rose does not correspond to reality, most often blaming themselves for the negative result.
