We usually recommend paying extra attention when roses are planted in a place where other roses have been growing for many years.

It is worth investing in creating favorable conditions for them and replacing the soil.

When starting the transplanting work:

1. We started by digging up the old plants

2. We dug a ~50 cm deep hole or, as in this case, a ~50 cm deep trench

> Since rodents tend to visit this bed due to the proximity of the river, we laid a metal mesh to protect the roses, but this is definitely not a mandatory step!

3. We prepared the soil by mixing a substrate suitable for roses with fertilizer

> We always recommend testing the placement in the bed before planting, as well as placing where exactly each rose seedling will be

4. We always plant roses so that their grafting point is 5-7 cm below the soil surface. If there is still tape left on the grafting site, remove it

5. After careful planting, we poured black soil over it, mixing it with the prepared substrate

> although we recommend being careful with mulching, not too thickly, we covered the top layer of soil with mulch suitable for roses, without burying it too close to the rose shoots

6. Finally, we freed the rose plant from any mechanical supports, strings and stakes.
