How to properly shape floribunda rose seedlings?

The first task is to find out the variety parameters in order to proceed accordingly. We usually advise not to treat the seedlings aggressively in the first year, but to let them develop on their own - nature itself knows best what it needs.

Although this is our first-year seedling, we recommend that you leave the shaping of rose seedlings to the second year, only gently pruning old flowers in the first year. Remember that the foliage of a rose is its “lungs”, which should be used in the first year to strengthen its roots.

2. It is advisable to cut off old flowers at the 2nd-3rd pentacle, counting from the flower, depending on the strength of the shoot. We recommend cutting the weaker ones further from the flower, but the stronger ones as close to the flower as possible.

3. It is recommended to assess whether the rose seedling has any particularly weak, stunted shoots left. We recommend cutting the weakest shoots as low as possible, often even 10-20 cm from the ground, depending on the situation.

The result will be a strong, bushy and beautiful rose bush. May it grow well! ????
