Hansestadt Rostock
Description
Rose 'Hansestadt Rostock' is a floribunda rose. It forms a bushy, upright shrub that typically grows 70–120 cm tall and approximately 60 cm wide. The plant produces full, apricot-orange flower clusters which, as they mature, fade to peach or creamy yellow colour, with a light, pleasant fragrance.
It blooms continuously from late spring until frosts and is highly valued for its excellent disease resistance (particularly to black spot and powdery mildew). Its glossy, dark green foliage provides contrast with the warm-toned flowers.
For best results, it should be planted in a sunny location with well-drained soil. Regular deadheading encourages more blooms, though it grows well even with minimal care. 'Hansestadt Rostock' is ideally suited for garden borders, edging and container planting, and has received awards for both beauty and reliability.
